Help!! my cat wont use his litter box!?
About two weeks ago my boyfriend and I moved into our new townhouse, a few days later I adopted a cat from the local animal shelter. Sam (the cat) is 9yrs old and tested positive for FIV (cat AIDS). I fell in love with him at the shelter and just had to bring him home with me, and th boyfriend reluctantly agreed. Since we brought him home I would say that Sam uses his litter box about half of the time, and has just about the worst smelling feces of any animal I’ve ever met. He is the sweetest and most lovable cat ever but my boyfriend is beyond fed up with him, we’ve been fighting about this non stop and he wants to bring im back to the shelter. I have refused to do so and we are at a stalemate. Does anybody here know of some good methods for litter training cats, or better yet, an effective way to eliminate the smell, so that the three of us can all live happily together?
I adopted an adult cat too and used Cat Attract litter the first two weeks he was here.
He uses the litter box 100% of the time.
They don’t have it at the big chains like Petco, so I suggest you call around to see who has it.
In terms of the odor of his feces, you may be feeding him something with a lot of grain in it. I feed my cat Call of the Wild and he does really well with it.
You will likely be able to find it at the same store that you find the Cat Attract.
The other litter they make is great too, not too much dust and clumps really well.
