Do you use heartworm preventative and flea and tick control? If so, which one?
@pleasant valley, of course I will ask my vet, that’s where I will have to get the heartworm preventative. That’s not what my question was. I like to find out what others use and their experience with it.
I don’t blindly follow what a vet, who gets kickbacks from selling a product tells me. I need experience.
I use heartgard for heartworms (it also prevents against roundworms and hookworms) and I use comfortis for fleas & ticks. I have tried a lot of flea & tick medications but comfortis works the best for my dogs, it made all the fleas they had dissapear & they don’t come back if you follow through with it every month. Plus, it’s easy because it’s just a pill you give to them, and it won’t come off when you bathe them, like other flea & tick medications.
