Tape Worm

can i give my nursing cat tape worm medicine?
We took her to the vet to have her and the kittens checkd out. They gave us tape worm medicine, and on the bottle it says “give two after done giving birth”. Shes done giving birth, but shes nursing. they didnt say anything bout the medicine affecting the kittens. I just want to make sure theyll be ok
When in doubt, ALWAYS CALL the VET and ASK!! Sometimes directions on bottles aren’t clear enough for the average person to correctly decipher……so, in my opinion……..ask the vet. My vet is on my “speed dial”……. 
Hope you call & ask before giving her the tapeworm meds……it’s “possible” that the poison for the worm could get into her milk and not be good for the babies…….so ASK FIRST…….
