Self Cleaning Litter

Can anyone recommend a self cleaning litter box?
I am trying to decide whether to buy a self cleaning litter box but not sure which one to get. They are expensive and I hate to buy one that is a dud. My cats are alone for a few days at a time and their litterbox can get ugly! I have 2 adult males, they are good about still using the litter box when its getting full (I use clump litter) but I feel bad when I come back after a few days and their litter box is like that.
I have tried them all, and didn’t really like any of them. The best one was the cat robot, it is designed and built very well. But if you cats are too large, or too small, they cannot use it. Also, there is not much storage room for the waste, so you still need to empty it fairly frequently.
I bought a gigantic tub to use for a litter box, and it works the best.
