Pets on base housing in non pet community housing.?
I’m wondering if anyone out there who has a pet on base even if they live in a ‘non-pet community’ housing. I was looking up the rules for base housing and it says there non pet community because the houses don’t have fenced yards.
Well I just moved on base and to make a long story short, I did have a cat off base, but my husband got shipped out for a month and I went back to my home state. When returning to my apartment I just left my cat back at home. Now we just moved on base and to get on base faster we said we didn’t have a cat (which was technically true). Now I want to bring my kitty back down.
He’s an indoor cat and doesn’t scratch furniture walls etc. He uses a scratch post. I can’t see anyone really caring, but my husband is worried about ‘getting in trouble’. Sadly though he’s one of those guys who never plays by the rules and no one can tell him what to do…
Anyone who thinks it’ll be ok? Or does anyone has a pet in a non pet housing??
Go back to the housing office and tell them he *forgot* or something. If you had the pet before you moved in they make exceptions. We had 3 cats and the *rule* was no more than 2 pets and we got to keep all of ours.
