My landlord’s cat purrs when I pet it, then a second later hisses and tries to scratch me?
…is there something wrong with the cat?
Sounds just like my cat Mr. Fuzzy. I ran across this a few weeks ago and believe this is what is wrong with my cat and sounds just like what may be wrong with your landlord’s.

This disorder I read may cause the cat to be happy one minute you are petting it and hissing the next just like my cat does.
