What is the best handheld vacuum to suck up pet hair on my furniture?
My regular vacuum cleaner doesn’t extend as far as I want it to when I vacuum my couch, and it’s been REALLY frustrating for me. So I’m thinking that a dustbuster/handheld vacuum will work better.
The best thing for pet hair is actually a pet hair brush, which has small rubber bristles. This rakes up the hair pretty well and clumps it, so you can just grab it and remove it. You can then come by later with a regular vacuum if you want. Most hand held vacuums (like a Dust Buster or whatever) are too weak to effectively pick up pet hair. Even most full size vacuums aren’t very effective at picking up pet hair on certain fabrics, like tweeds.
