Pet Bowl

My pet rat isn’t having any bowl movements, except when he is scared. What should i do?
Other than take him to the vet, because he’s going on Thursday for lice treatment, but I’ll ask about the pooping. Is there anything i can do in the time being? He’s acting very sluggish, almost as if he is dying. But he tends to be a bit dramatic all the time so he may just be over-reacting. What can i do to get him to poop? He’s the love of my life and i don’t want to lose him.
