Does anyone know if there is a cheaper flea med alternative to Frontline Plus?

I have been using Frontline Plus for my dogs for the past 6 months and it works fine…it’s just expensive. I saw at the pet store some stuff for like $6 bucks…but does it work? I don’t mind spending $50 bucks if it’s the best, but if I can get something just as good for $6, then that’s a lot better. Thanks!
