A cat condo a good place for newborn kittens?

My cat stephanie just had 6 kittens and moved them into our cat condo, we have a huge one exactly like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/80-Cat-Tree-House-Condo-Scratcher-Post-Furniture-F2030_W0QQitemZ140226070049QQihZ004QQcategoryZ20740QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

she moved them into the higher and bigger condo room at the top (see pic). She seems perfectly happy and is always at one of the perches watching them, but I’m worried , it’s about 7 feet tall and what if she’s not quick enough and one falls. I was thinking about putting pillows all around the condo on the floor xD. Should I just move the kittens? Or can she take care of them? Isn’t the pillow idea amazing?

Can you make something out of cardboard that kinda looks like the enclosed places on the condo? That way you can leave it on the floor right next to the tree and she will think it is part ot the condo. The piilow thing is a great idea, but even a 7 ft fall into a pillow wouldn’t be good.
