Can I reapply Frontline Plus after two weeks?
My dog had an infestation of deer ticks so I had him groomed and given a tick dip. That didn’t work so a couple of hours later I applied Frontline Plus. Within the 1st 48 hours of it kicking in I also rinsed his whole body off to help me see the small ticks on his skin. Lately I am finding regular ticks on him which makes me wonder if the potency of the Frontline Plus was diluted due to applying it right after being bathed as well as rinsing him everyday. Is it ok to reapply the Frontline Plus even though it has only been two weeks? I am so tired of finding more ticks on him!
no. I know someone that did this and they lost their pet because of it. Flea medicine like frontline is poison which is absorbed into their skin. Too much will make them very ill, perhaps cause seizures, blindness, or heart failure/death. Is it worth the risk? Even the package says Not to add it more aften then every 30 days for a reason. I would never put my kids in danger of a possible overdose of medicine, and I consider my pets like family. Don’t risk their health… or lives!
