Feather Wand Cat

How can I help my foster kitten who just doesn’t want to be loved?
Her name is Mia. I got her when she was 8 weeks (as a foster) and she, with her sister, is for adoption. She is now about 20 weeks. She is so lovey sometimes- she’ll come up to you and headbutt you and everything. But every other time, she’ll just eat and run away. I’ve tried sitting with her individually every day, but she wrestles out of my grip. I’ve played with her and a feather wand, I’ve bought her more toys, I’ve tried to give her more love then ever and nothing changed. I don’t know how to tell potential adopters that she is an independent cat. Her sister is the complete opposite- I have to MAKE her eat because she just wants to headbutt me.
How can I help her?
Another thing- Mia won’t stop eating. She weighed 6 pounds a while back and she just keeps getting fatter. She eats all of her dry and cleans off the plate for her wet. The vet didn’t comment, but recently she feels like she weighs more then my adult. What should I do?
Thank you!!!
When you adopt out a cat you need to tell who wants to adopt the truth about that cat to not risk that they will abandon it (I advise you to adopt her out to people that you can keep contact to). Cats are all different so you can not force her to be what you want her to be. I have noticed sometimes that the less you pet them the more they come up to you. My dad hates cats, but it seems like all cats love him. It is really good that a kitten eats. I would not worry for now because it is important for her growth. Make shure that she is dewormed correctly (get poop tested out for worms), because worms makes a kitten eat more! Good luck!
