Dry Cat Food

How long can I leave my cat’s dry food out for?
I give him one cup a day but he doesn’t eat it all. can I leav eit out all day? And what should I do if he doesn’t eat it all? I’m giving him Royal canin dry cat food. And I go to school every day but come home during lunch. So what should I do regarding the dry food?
Personally I leave a full bowl full of dry food out for my 2 cats all the time. I would say that maximum you should leave it out for is a week so leaving it for a day is no problem. Most cats tend not to overeat so I don’t think them getting fat would be a problem (but that’s just my opinion). My 2 cats have access to dry food 24 hours a day and are both perfectly healthy.
Something you can try (particularly if he’s the only cat and he’s on his own all day) is putting tiny bits of food in different places round the house so he has to search for them. This gives him something to do and just gives him little bits at a time
