I want to buy a drinkwell platinum pet fountain.?

And I want to know if I could use the filters from the original drinkwell fountain for it or would I have to buy the new ones?

I checked on Amazon.com and I think you will have to buy the new ones. They have Drinkwell Replacement Filters and Drinkwell Platinum Replacement Filters. They even look different.
