Which type of pet you should get for your family?
When the time has come for you to decide which type of pet you should get,
Think About your neighbors and the traffic on near by roads. Will you let your pet outdoors?
Or will you keep your pet indoors only. Then decied if you want a cat, dog, rabbit,
ferret, Maybe you would like a reptile or bird.
Always do the research on the ones you are most interested in and make sure
you can provide all the care that they will need. How will they live,
in a cage or have run of the house and out doors. How much food will they eat
and how much will it cost, The vet bills can be very high and all pets get sick,
flea control for outdoor pets, toys for them to play with, crates or beds for them to sleep in.
Will you need a litter box? how much will litter cost you? most pets need to be groomed often,
bathed, brushed, and do you have the time it takes to take care for them and time to spend with them?
Find a veterinarian that will be yours and call them to get some facts about the choice
of pet that you are considering adopting and then you will be able to make a wise choice
that will be happy and healthy for both of you. If you choose to adopt a dog or cat please
call around to the animal shelters in your area to see if they have what you are looking for.
If they don’t have what you are looking for they may be getting one soon.
After you have adopted your new pet, it is a good idea to take your new pet to your vet to
be sure that it’s healthy and has been spayed or neutered. If the vet determines that it’s
not Healthy you can return the pet to the shelter and get another one that is healthy.
If the pet has not been fixed than you need to get it spayed or neutered as soon as possible.
Thees few tips can help you to decide if you are ready to be a pet owner and what you will need to
do to keep your new friend happy and healthy for many years to come.
