Cat Pet Door

Has anyone used this infrared pet door? Does it work?
I have a puppy and two cats. My cats are indoor cats only. My puppy of course needs to go outside when she needs to eliminate.
I saw an ad for an infrared door that only “opens” for the pet with the “door” key in its collar. This would be perfect as it would allow my dog to out but keep the cats in.
Anyone used this? Does it work well? Reccomendations?
I haven’t used but my friend has one. The biggest problem is that your dog has to stand at least 6 in back from the door. Since the door opens towards the dog it is easily broken from being pushed in when your dog tries to leave. Also it’s rather expensive. I personally don’t think its worth $190 and trying to train your dog to stand 6 in away from the door can be a bit of a challenge
