Cat Jungle Gym

My soon to be 4 year old cat is fat, the vet switched her to science diet light 5 months ago but no luck?
I feed her 1/2 a cup per day. She used to be a monitored indoor/outdoor cat, but I decided to make her a strictly indoor kitty for my piece of mind. I give her about 5-6 small bites of deli thin turkey or chicken Oscar Mayer, Land O’ Frost, HillShire Farm or Healthy Choice lunchmeat once or twice a week which was ok’d by her vet. I believe the problem is that since she no longer goes outside that she isn’t getting enough exercise to lose weight. I chase her around, have a 4 ft scratching post that she uses everyday. Toys never held her interest very long. Maybe purchasing a jungle gym or tree house will peak Mrs. Mew’s interest or it could become nothing more than a humans treadmill, which after a short while just gathers dust. Any exercise ideas in mind to peak her interest. Have you had any luck with science diet light. The vet told me it may take a year if she loses at all.
I like the IAM’s way better. But they do get bigger with age – if she is very big – take her to another vet.
