Cat Deshedding Tool

Help! I’m asthmatic and very allergic to my cat…?
I don’t want to give him up to a shelter. Any advice is appreciated such as a good deshedding tool or air purifier. I’ve been to the emergency room twice because my fast acting inhaler wouldn’t do the job and I’m positive it’s because of my cat allergy. Thanks…
I was allergic to my cat – fleas, could never completely rid him or the house of fleas. I spent years day in day out on heavy doses of anti histamines. It gave me kidney damage but i couldnt get rid of that cat. no way. You may just have to try your best to keep him away from beds and furniture that you use. Maybe you should have metal blinds instead of curtains and tiled floors or something. You could get a stronger inhaler or something. Apart from shaving the cat, which is not a good idea then i dont know what to suggest, but remember, once you give that cat to a shelter, you cant change your mind, you wont ever see him again.
