Raised Cat Scratcher

I have 2 dogs, should I adopt 2 cats?
I have two dogs (10 mo golden retriever and 5 month Lab/cocker/Italain greyhound). I am thinking of adopting 2 cats from a rescue. Both cats have been raised with dogs and other cats and have been with their foster mom for 8 months. My dogs have never been around cats yet but are very friendly and good natured. Here is a description of the cats:
They are both playful at times, mostly Marie. They both are laid back at times, especially Simon. They like to be picked up and held. They love my dogs; they run to them when they come in from outside. Oh, and they purr alot! I’ve never seen a mean bone in them once since fostering them for 8 months. They like the angled cat scratcher, cat nip, feathers, ball chaser, etc.
I’ve had dogs and cats together my entire life. Since the cats are already used to dogs, that’s the biggest obstacle you’d really need to overcome and , I think it would be great idea. And the breeds of dogs you have are not high prey drive that you have to worry about chasing and going after the cats so basically all you have to do now is just monitor when the cats first get there and teach the dogs that they’re not toys and to be gentle with them, which I think won’t be a big problem. Just don’t leave them alone at all in the beginning until you’re positive everybody is okay together and everyone has respect for each other. It just takes a little bit of training on your end and they’ll also teach each other what’s acceptable and what’s not!! The cats WILL put the dogs in their place when they need to!! My dogs and cats have always been friends and played and slept together all day long though and been fine together!! Best of luck to you!!
